A Trained Dog is a Happy Dog
By Ira Grygoryeva

A trained Dog is usually a much happier dog. originate from packs where there is a pack leader who keeps the pack under control. Hence when a dog is controlled, as is the case with trained dogs, the dog automatically feels a sense of being under the pack leader.

Apart from the above, any good dog owner will automatically notice that a dog responds well to the attention it receives after obeying a command. This is in direct contrast to the feeling of guilt that follows a undisciplined dog. (ears back and avoiding eye contact)

Dog owners vary in their training methods and talents just as vary in their ability to be trained. Some people are good animal trainers and manage remarkable results with little effort. However, even the best trainers are not always equally successful with every dog breed. Specific methods may be more effective with one breed than the other.

Trainers of tend to have authority, patience and self control. This combined with s great deal of love and respect for your dog will result in good training.

Dogs generally have a much higher understanding intelligence than most people give them credit for, and so they can and do learn, but we have to give them our time and patience. There are many dog training techniques available from the internet, book stores or with direct training from a professional.

It is a good idea that all pet dogs be  given basic obedience training, not only when they develop bad behavior. Today s live in a much faster paced world, just as we do. Even though we may be with them when they are out in public, they can still "stray" or disobey. While training cannot completely compensate for poor breeding, a bad environment, or poor upbringing, it can surely help. They world will teach them how to misbehave, but it's up to us as pet parents to teach them how to behave. You see the ownership of a dog should be considered similar to that of having a child. They need you to love and care for them. Loving does however mean disciplining.

Generally specialized training is not necessary unless the dog is to become a show dog or performing dog. dogs. This level of training and behavior requires much more time and labor and usually requires a higher aptitude on the part of the dog, and much more skill and patience on the part of the trainer. Training of so called "champion" show usually begins when they are puppies and continues through most of their lives.

Training your dog can be very rewarding. What you may lack in experience is usually compensated for by your desire to please the person he loves and lives with, which is his strongest motivation.
